18th-21st March 2010 - "Woodend to West End" Junior/Senior Musical Theatre Showcase

Directed and Choreographed by Kathryn Penton (Junior group), and Helen Burke & Nick Ward (Senior group)

Our first production of the new year will be a showcase of performances from our Junior and Senior Musical Theatre classes. Selections will include numbers from High School Musical, We Will Rock You, Mulan, Hannah Montana, Mary Poppins and more!

Thursday 18th, Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st March at the Isabel Rigby Studio, Woodend Mill, Mossley. All performances start at 7pm.

Past Productions

Something New-sical

July 2009 saw the Advanced Musical Theatre class perform Something New-sical, a selection of performances from a number of new musicals since the turn of the century. Once again, the whole showcase was devised, directed and choregraphed by Mike Ward, and featured songs from many new musicals including Happy Days, The Wedding Singer, The Full Monty, Spring Awakening, the badly-named Urinetown(!), High Fidelity and Homemade Fusion. One-Act Play Festivals 2009

This year, we competed in the Hale, GMDF and Partington One-act Play Festivals with In The Blood. Congratulations to Kathryn Penton for winning the Best Director awards, and congratulations to the cast, Clare McDermott, Georgia Hulmes and Hannah Claydon / Kate Manning.
